Established in January 2014, the first phase of the LADLF concluded in June 2016. Given the valuable services provided, a second phase of the Facility was approved and started in July 2016 and will conclude in June 2020, coinciding with the implementation of the Government of Lao PDR’s 8th National Socio-Economic Development Plan 2016 - 2020.

Adam Smith International (ASI) manages the LADLF on behalf of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). In doing so, it provides the rigour and expertise that has built its reputation worldwide.
